Next generation legal services, today.

Let's face it - the world around us has changed dramatically in the past 10 years.  During that short space of time, the Internet has gone from a tool used primarily by academics, to an integral part of everyday life.  Cellular telephones and electronic mail are now used extensively by most Americans, and advances in technology continue to reduce the cost, and increase the speed, of communication.

We see these advances in technology as an opportunity to deliver legal services to our clients at a lower cost without sacrificing the quality of our representation.  For example, by using VoIP and other advanced telephone services, we do not have to charge our clients for long distance telephone calls.  Likewise, documents that were previously sent by U.S. mail can now be sent by electronic mail, further reducing the costs incurred by our clients.

We also offer our clients flexible billing arrangements, including up front (flat rate) fees, as an alternative to the traditional hourly fee agreement.  Up front fees promote lawyer efficiency because the fee will not increase regardless of the amount of work performed on a particular task. Accordingly, there is an incentive for the lawyer to get the work done in the shortest possible time.  We use this approach with the understanding that our fee may be adjusted by mutual agreement if unforeseen circumstances arise.  We find that clients appreciate the greater certainty that up front billing arrangements provide and prefer this method over an hourly fee agreement.  Hourly fee agreements are available for clients who prefer this billing method, however we encourage our clients to consider all of their options before making a final decision.
